What: To coach secondary school students from the documentary My Voice My Life (爭氣)
As a volunteer tutor, you will
- Help a group of special students meet the challenge of the DSL exams
- Work with Nick Ho (何力高), star tutor and veteran teacher, to become an effective tutor
- Help promote development of young people
Directed by Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Ruby Yang, My Voice My Life follows an unlikely group of misfit students who succeeded in producing a musical despite personal challenges ranging from low self-esteem to blindness. Yang is HKU’s Hung Leung Hau Ling Distinguished Fellow in Humanities, and a resident scholar at Shun Hing College.
